about

Something of an anomaly this track. I was working as a kitchen hand in a small club/restaurant with a guy named Damo. We'd become quite good friends- he being a musician as well- and also a psychedelics enthusiast. But one day he disappeared, leaving a bunch of belongings behind in his room, and was never seen again.
My boss was so worried about him that she consulted a psychic who told her that he had been attacked, robbed and thrown over a cliff. None of the rest of us believed this, preferring the more likely scenario that he'd simply had enough of the place and hitch hiked back to Melbourne.
I recorded this one day and took it along to play on the stereo at work during one of our 1am closing time staff drinking sessions.
